There are other options in the medical field that can get you good money and eventually you can work from home. My sister is doing an online course for medical coding/transcription. It's a 6 month course, and $2,000? Not sure on the price, but it's fairly reasonable compared to full-on classes. She has a friend that codes for a surgeon's office and makes a lot of money, considering. (Not as much a nurse would, of course, but it'd be something you could do from home - eliminating the "where to put the kids" factor - and also that disgusting thing of poking around in people's veins!) That way, you could be saving some money and be able to leave the hub in less than 2 years, if that's what you really want to do.

Kelly took the words right out of my mouth! Not that I wanted to divert you from culinary or paralegal occupations, but it's just something to think about and I am pretty sure there are online courses you can take for that, too. I'm glad to hear you're making plans for your future, it's time for Jackie to think about Jackie. You go girl! ;) Good luck, and hang in there...you'll get thru it!

Girl, you really do need a break. You do so much for so many, and nobody seems to appreciate it. If I was nearby, I'd come hang with the kids for a while so you could get away. Kids I can do-but the hub - I think we'd have to send him off for a few days too. Feel better.

I wish one of your 'friends' would offer to take *your* kids for once, so that you could relax. As for your note - that's what my sister said, too!

The shit you put up with girl. We have so much in common between the bullshit of men, ex's, and other peoples children! You seem to be extrodinarily strong willed and I believe you can put that two year plan into effect. *HUGS*

Your husband sounds like a big baby roaming around in search of a giant tit of which he is suckling the life blood out of you. I cannot imagine how you stay living with that man and stay sane. You really do need an award. I say we knight you and make you Sir Jackie, like Sir Elton John. I love it! xoxo - me

Personally, as a student of the nursing academy, id say go with culinary. Tomorrow is my last day of the nursing academy and I can say im glad, its TOUGH, maybe cause its 'in your blood', youll be better than I was. But make sure your good at memorizing crazy ass things, like every code known to nurses, every muscle, ever bone [thats not hard], etc. Also make sure you have 2-3 hourse a night to devote to your studies. I dont want to discourage you, but being through pre-nursing, I kinda, almost, sorta know what its like. Hehe now I know where I got asshat from =) its my new favorite word, i called my pony it today over and over [explanation is in my diary]. I hope everything gets better, after pms is gets slightly better...
