Random shit about me. Not a complete list.

-- My mother was from England, of Scottish descent. She met my dad when he was in the service stationed in the UK. They moved to the States when she was 7 months pregnant with me.

-- By the time I was 2, Id been hospitalized twice, once for the mumps and once for pneumonia.

-- My older half brother is 8 years older than me. He lives in Texas. Although Ive spoken to him, I havent seen him since 1987. My younger whole brother is 2 years younger than me. He lives in the city next to my town. Hes the one I wish I hadnt seen since 1987.

-- My mom got very ill when I was 8. She spent 3 years in a coma-like state in a nursing home before finally passing away from pneumonia when I was 11. It was like she died twice.

-- After my mom got sick, we moved next door to my grandparents. I was raised jointly by my dad and grandmother.

-- I visited my relatives in England three times. In 1980, 1982 and 1984. I wanted to go back and visit my grandmother in 1989 before she passed away, but she died before I could get there.

-- I started watching MTV three days after it went on the air in 1981. I spent a great deal of time during my adolescence watching it. Id be a different person were it not for MTV. Sad, I know.

-- I introduced swear words into my vocabulary at the age of 12. Havent stopped since.

-- Everything bad that I did, I started when I was 15. Drinking, smoking weed and sex. I also got pregnant at that young age.

-- Said child of pregnancy, if she hadnt been aborted, would have turned 18 in August. My dad knew about it, and took me to have the abortion on the 4 year anniversary of my mothers death.

--I got my drivers license in February of 1987.

-- The longest relationship I ever had, before the age of 27, was 9 months, when I was 18. The rest averaged about 2 months, and the majority of them were ended by me.

-- I became pregnant in the fall of 1990 by one of the shorter relationships. I was the first of my friends to have a baby. I had him with no help from the sperm donor. I learned how to take care of him from reading books.

-- Ive always been a fan of live music and spent a great deal of my youth and 20s going to shows. Aside from local bands, Ive seen Elton John (twice), Bob Seger, Bob Dylan, The Hooters (honestly! And we waited out back to MEET them), De la Soul, Beck, U2, Prodigy, Violent Femmes (twice), The Grateful Dead, Morrissey, The Flaming Lips and Porno for Pyros.

--I kept paper journals from the ages of 11 to 25. I still have them. My ex, the father of my two little ones, read the entire contents of my journal of the ages 21-24, which included a complete, numbered listing of all the men Id had sex with.

--I peaked in 1994.

--The first time I got drunk, I drank two and a half Michelobs before I got shut off.

--Ive held 5 different full time jobs in the past 10 years. These include, dry cleaner counter help, office girl for an employment agency, temporary office worker, customer service phone rep, and various positions at the local financial institution.

--The first album I ever owned was The Beatles, Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band, on vinyl, bought when I was 10 and roughly 4 months following the death of John Lennon. The Beatles were my first favorite band, introduced to me by my very own parents.

--The first album was followed by Styx Paradise Theater and Billy Squier Dont Say No, both on vinyl. After that, almost everything I owned was on cassette tape.

--My two sons have very Irish names even though Im no part Irish. My older sons middle name was my mothers maiden name and my younger sons middle name was my great-grandfathers name. My daughters name is French and her middle name means nothing, it just sounded good.

--I was baptized and raised Catholic. I never made it so far as to be confirmed. I suffer from Catholic guilt to this day, although it was worse on me as a kid. This is why I havent raised my own kids in the church.

--I didnt have an orgasm until I was 17, almost 18 years old, and that was brought on by none other than myself. Only three of the men Ive been with have made me come: both baby daddies and my husband. (Huh. It occurs to me as I look at this statement that orgasm is the way to my heart. Make me come and Ill either bear your child or marry you).

--Having known my husband from as far back as 8th or 9th grade, I can say that he was no where near my type back then. I can also say that I certainly was his type.

--I cant sing for shit, but I do.

--Ive worn my hair the same way (all one length, varying the lengths from chin level to past shoulders) for about 11 years, and I have no intention of ever changing it. Its important to me to have a low maintenance style after the hair nightmare I went through in the 80s.

--I havent permed my hair since 1990, and havent colored it since 1993. Its pure virgin hair.

-- I have an Associates Degree that I rarely talk about. Eventually, Id like to go back to school to be a nurse.

--My Top 5 list of celebrity men who make me moist is, in no particular order: 1) Mark Wahl berg (mmmm, ever since he was doing Calvin Klein ads) 2) Matthew McConahey (I just love his pot-smoking, naked bongo-playing ass) 3) Dean Cain (he can be my Superman anyday) 4) Eminem (Its that bad-boy thing I have) and 5) Tim McGraw (a new one. Hes just delish-lish)

--I went without sex or any kind of male romantic contact for two years during the ages of 24 and 26. It was partly voluntary as I soul-searched most of that time, mainly due to those two month relationships I kept finding myself in. When I came out of it, I had myself a lot of fun with several different men before settling on the father of my little ones for almost three years.

--After he was gone, I was single a mere three months before getting together with my husband. And I was pregnant too.

--Buddhism got my interest during an episode of CSI three years ago. The episode was about a Buddhist monastery and I was so impressed with the monks philosophies that I further investigated it.

--One of my kids had open heart surgery at 6 weeks old due to a congenital heart defect. It was one of the hardest things Ive ever gone through with my kids and also one of the most enlightening.

--I masturbated regularly throughout my 20s, although its been about 5 years since the last time I did.

--Im pretty sure I have ADD. I couldnt pay attention to a full class in school without drifting. It still happens to me: at Weight Watchers, during conversations, tv shows, etc, I end up in a daydream and dont pay one ounce of attention to what I should be.

--Im going to see the Beastie Boys on October 12 WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO-HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
